I recently rediscovered The Legion of SuperHeroes, a series which was my first comic book love lo these many years ago. I got into the comic (and, more specifically, Brainiac 5, quite possibly my first real-unreal crush) shortly after the 'zero hour' reboot, so yes, I am aware that the Brainy I first met in not the brainy that most older fans knew and liked. That's okay with me. I've gone back and read pre-boot Legion, and I still like post-boot Legion better.

I withhold judgment on the NEW Legion reboot, since they've only put out 9 issues at the present time.

This piece was hand sketched and computer colored, which has taken something like 70 layers (I overindulge) and 30 hours total. As often happens when I put in that much time and effort, I now hate it. But I have to let go and put my nose back to the homework grindstone, so no more tweaking for me.

Brainy has a hydrospanner in his mouth. No, really. ...okay, I knew I couldn't fool the Star Wars fans of the world. It's... um. Some kind of futuristic energy reader and recalibrator come measuring tape. He's holding it in his mouth because he's busy calling up new information, patching a coolant tube, and listening to whosoever has invaded his lab. So multitalented

Shocked and appalled as I personally am at someone having read LoSH and *not* remembering my Brainy-Boy... It is in fact quite possible, at least if you didn't read it for very long. Cast of *thousands,* y0.
